Taking The (Polar Bear) Plunge!

My husband thought that Bea and I were crazy for wanting to be at the beach in the winter just to take photos. But what we did is nothing compared to what a lot of people did that day. They actually took the plunge in the icy waters of Lake Michigan!

Brrrr!!!

But they are not crazy… They are actually doing it for a good cause. To find out more about it, here is the website to the event: http://www.chicagopolarplunge.org/Home_Page.htm

They are doing another plunge on March 7. I think I will go again! :)

I Love You, Honey… But Do I Have To Do This?

In January, my friend Bea and I went to Oak Street Beach to take photos of the Polar Bear Plunge. As people were getting ready for the event to officially start, I overheard this lady joking with her husband.

She was saying something like, “Honey, you know I love you…. Do I really have to do this?”  To which her husband responded, “Yes!”, with a big smile.

Lilli Learns To Skate

These photos were taken at the Oakton Ice Arena back in December. Ji brought Lilli to the rink to teach her how to ice skate. Lilli was nervous at first. She fell a few times, but she kept on trying. :)

By the time the hour was over, Lilli already learned how to skate, made friends with some of the girls ice skating with her, and was begging her mom to buy her her own pair of ice skating shoes!
